BRIEF HISTORIES OF THE FUTURE - GRAPHICS

Led by Deloitte's Chief Futurist, Mike Bechtel, this series of short documentaries and "talking heads" videos explores the potential of future technologies for humanity. Kinetic Magic's director, Kyle Ruddick, brought me in to art direct and develop the visual language when the initial direction wasn't working.

I developed a draftsmen/industrial designer approach - schematic sketches that made abstract tech concepts feel tangible and real. Working with 3D designer Robert Brown, we created visuals that brought these ideas to life with a distinct, hand-crafted aesthetic that stood apart from typical tech documentary work.

The visual approach we developed showed how to make complex future-tech concepts feel grounded and approachable. I handled art direction and motion design for the series, including titles, style frames, and some of the 3D motion elements.
