This project was built as a fast, punchy brand explainer designed to introduce PSA, a card grading service, to newer collectors while reinforcing trust with longtime customers. The original brief called for a tight 30-second overview covering who PSA is, what they do, and why grading matters. It was a matter of balancing emotional connection with clear, benefit-driven messaging.
I led the main animation and motion execution, with some light sound design, working closely with the art director to translate a dense, information-heavy storyboard into something that could actually move. As the piece took shape, it became clear that strict adherence to the original structure would feel disjointed once animated, so part of my role was gently nudging the edit toward greater unity. Together we streamlined transitions, dialed back overly editorialized moments, and let motion carry more of the storytelling.
The final video landed a little longer than planned, but the extra breathing room allowed the message to hit with clarity and momentum. The result is a cohesive, high-energy explainer that blends emotional resonance with credibility. It reinforced PSA’s position as the industry standard while still feeling modern, dynamic, and approachable. Designed to scale across cutdowns and paid placements without losing impact.
